BB ADVENTURE QUEST 2008
The suffering just began! :)

I was merely awake for one-forth of the day, I was sleeping the rest of the time. This explains how tired I am after Adventure Quest yesterday. I shall blog about the happening event before it slip my mind :) Alright, let's rewind to Friday evening!

Met up with the other AQ Boys for dinner at Causeway Point. Ate loads of rice as told, to load carbohydrate! :) We shared jokes, talked about everything! Seriously funny :) Walked down to NTUC, to purchase some granola bars and candies for AQ! It's our lunch during the race! But it's very yummy! :)

Camped at Woodlands Secondary School. Before that, headed to the petrol station to get some Red Bull and some other stuff :) They played this movie, I wasn't watching la, so hack knows what it's about. I was talking to Kenneth la, my beloved brother from K4! Cheekai was there too :) Wah, so happy to see him after a long time!

I slept at around 11pm? Was sandwhiched in between Kelvin and Nicholas. Nicholas laughter is so, indescripable. Totally hilarious. I was kinda distracted from sleep by his laughter, and his attempt to joke with me. HA-HA! How funny?

Woke up early at 3.30am, Nicholas was pervertic enought to use 'his' way to wake me up. Shall not list it out as it just disguise the hell out of me. So got up, washed up and gathered at the porch for brefing/photo-taking/banana's while waiting for the bus to come. Well, it was a total SURPRISE WHEN THE 'BUS' CAME!

Instead of a bus, came a mini-van (is that what you call that thing?!). I was typically laughing inside and questioning myself, How are 25 people going to squeeze in there? So, 0nly 2 teams boarded the bus. 1 team was send to ITE Dover by an teacher's car, and 2 teams hired taxi's to reach the destination. Our team was one of the teams to hire cabbies, and was the fastest to reach! :)

Upon reaching ITE Dover, we were greeted by this officer and hack knows what time he woke up! It was like 4.30am in the morning and there he is, greeting us with a smile without complain! He was still talking to us in that friendly, gentle tone. If it was me, I would have given that 'I-want-to-sleep' face and talked to you nasty people with a grumpy tone. God knows :)

Registered and hell, they gave such a BIG goodie bag that it came in a box. Well, I shall list out what they have given us,

1. 12 packs of Oreo consisting of different flavours
2. 4 packs of Sweet Corn bread (Total disgusting)
3. 4 apples
4. 4 cans of 100-plus
4. 4 pouch of Pocari Sweat
5. 4 bottles of mineral water

I don't know if I left out anything else. In addition, Mam' Mavis got us a loaf of bread and Milo packets for breakfast. I only drank Milo and had that disgusting Sweet Corn bread because I totally wasn't in an 'eat-all-you-can' mood. After that was some briefing and warm-up and off we when to the starting point.

Everyone was prepared at the front line, they didn't even want to make way for us to go to the back. I tell you, it's not an advantage in one way or another. Everyone was excited, they were prepared to run when the beep goes! BEEP! Everyone started running and the next thing I see was people falling down and losing their things. It was plain comical, but of course I am not so evil to point at those poor creatures and laugh at them, "HAHA, quack quack! You fall down! Who ask you to run?! Boohoo!". I would be inhuman if I did that.

We started out smooth, the mock race really did help us. :) I shall not update every detail of the race, cause it would be plain boring. We ran/jog/walked during the first leg. We had rock-climbing too, but only Weisheng and Kelvin climbed. Nicholas and me just sat there, rest and ate.

Zoom zoom zoom, we worked with 44th team for a bit and made our way back to ITE Dover to finish off Leg 1. Reaching there was our goal! We now make it to Leg 2! While Weisheng and Nicholas were plotting, Kelvin and I went to the toilet to refill our water bags. I didn't refill mine, it was still heavy.

So, we hurriedly left ITE Dover and continued on Leg 2. Reaching one of the checkpoints, it turns out to be an activity. Weisheng and Kelvin went in for Micro Navigation, I don't even know what's happening inside. Nicholas and I were with the other ARPC AQ teams chilling and chatting. I was constantly nagging and complaining about the large amount of mosquitoes, seriously irritated by them

After 40minutes or so, they finally came out! We got our approval stamp and went to our next checkpoint which is also our bicycle collection point! Everyone was excited, except me. I am a bad cyclist. I have yet to master the skills of cycling like Kelvin and Nicholas. I had to walk my bike down the sloop as I was too afraid to ride down, cause who knows?! I might end up in an ambulance the next minute.

I got to admit cycling was fun, but cycling on a rough surface, erm, not so fun. I fell a couple of time. Stumble a bit and was acting like a complete clumsy boy. I was tripping here and there and I couldn't even walk my bike properly. Gosh, embarresing la. Reached a checkpoint which requires 2 person to Kayak and another 2 person to make their way to Tanglin School to do Archery.

Kelvin and Nicholas were doing Kayaking, so Weisheng and me made our way to Tanglin School to do Archery. Skip skip skip, we passed archery and made our way back to find the other 2. After they were done, off we went with a 44th team. Was feeling real tired and my 'bottom part' was feeling real pain after cycling for a long while.

Dropping off our bicycles, we only had 30minutes left to make our way to ITE Dover. The cut-off time was 4pm, everyone was panicking. Our team were slowed down because Kelvin couldn't run due to leg pain near the 'er-hem' part. He insisted that we not run, and only upon seeing our officers face on a car, we started running like hell.

2 minutes to cut-off! Kelvin and me were reaching! Nicholas and Weisheng refuses to run. I was thinking, "What the f**k are they doing?! Wasting my energy and my day?!". Luckily we all made it on time, but bad news strike. Weisheng lost our passbook.

OMFG! Where the hell could he put it? We all searched and teared at the same time, we didn't wanna see our hard work go down the drain. It's official, we lost the card. Thanks to someone. While we make our way to sit, we were tearing and wiping and suddenly at the back this conference begin,

Marshal: Are you team 127?

YES! We are! :) He found our card! It was like 1km away from us and Weisheng didn't even realise that he lost it. Thank god the marshal found it! Or else I would have been like total irritated and bloody pissed. So, we clocked in the timing! :) But tears still came gushing down our cheeks.

We made history. We are the first ever 34th AQ team to finish the race. Was feeling super hyped and asthetic! But Nicholas started vomitting out because his body system is kinda rejecting his intakes, and Weisheng is having severe leg cramp? This funny first aid guy had to sort-of massage his leg with some pain-killing cream (will upload video soon). His face expression is so typical hilarious!

After all those drama, we went over to the hawker center to have dinner while waiting for the bus. I ate like, OMG. 2 bowls of rice :) Was feeling damn hungry la. I wanted the bus to come faster, so I could sleep. So, when the bus came, I took off my shoes and slept. My legs and toes were hurting! My nails were like coming off!

Alighted at Causeway Point and trained back home. Took a bath and immediately off to sleep till today 1pm. Overslept and missed the BB Week Collection at ARPC. Darns, I have not yet to hit my target. I must top up my own money :( That was it, this years Adventure Quest. I was part of the team that made 34th proud. :)

Am I going to take up AQ next year? We'll see. :)
